The Blue Jays Need Barry Bonds

As soon as the Toronto Blue Jays released Frank Thomas rumors began to fly that they would be interested in Barry Bonds. Talk of Bonds in a Jays uniform has silenced, but if they hope to contend this season they should seriously consider bringing in baseball's home run king.

Collusion Schmollusion

I was reading some bits from the Fanhouse, and saw that Buster Olney is reporting the MLB Player's Union is investigating possible collusion regarding Barry Bond's current unemployment. This just in: it is apparently collusion if people that are not interested in you, do not enlist your services.   more...

Barry Bonds Doesn't Need A Team To Win

This is almost a half hour of footage of Barry Bonds taking on a Japanese comedian for some Japanese television show. You get to see some of Barry at his bulked up best, cranking balls left and right out of a small ballpark in California, beating the crap out of his opponent in a live action   more...

Bonds Watch 2008: Who is Going to Man-Up and Sign Barry Bonds? Five Teams to Consider

I find it troubling that Barry Bonds, Major League Baseball's all-time home run leader, currently remains unsigned, a development that is now being investigated by the Major League Baseball Player's Association (MLBPA) for the possibility of collusion among the owners and organizations. I don't   more...

Freakin' Eaton

Six feet and ten inches may seem like an imposing size for a batter at the plate, but certainly not when it's the elderly pitcher Randy Johnson. However, to feeble minded Adam Eaton he must have made him quiver with fear because Eaton gave Johnson the Barry Bonds treatment by walking him with the   more...

The Legendary Dilemma of Pete Rose

With the first month of baseball in the books and the ivy at Wrigley Field beginning to grow, it's about time for the annual Pete Rose gossip, and of course -- whether or not he deserves membership in the Hall of Fame. Years after walking away from Major League Baseball, Rose was accused of   more...

Always a Bridesmaid .... Kirby Puckett

Only one player of the Fantasy Era (1980-present) has been good enough to be ranked 2nd best on multiple occasions, only to fall short of the elusive #1 ranking each and every time ... Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett. Don't blame him though, he ran into a wall of out of the ordinary seasons.

Bonds a Blue Jay?

Frank Thomas was released by the Jays last weekend after a dismal start. Now some people are advocating that the Jays sign Barry Bonds as their new DH. While he's a better hitter than Thomas (in fact, he's a better hitter than many of the Jays), I think this would be a colossally bad move for the   more...

Barry Bonds Deserves An Apology: It Was The Baseball

Statistical analysis and scientific research show that steroids do not increase performance. The difference in the game we see today can be traced to one singular event: a change in the manufacturing process of the baseball.

As the worst week in baseball history continues, U.S. prosecuters said Thursday that Barry Bonds failed a drug test a month after hitting his record 73rd homerun. The allegation came in a legal filing in his steroid perjury case that referred to Bonds' long-time trainer, Greg Anderson.Seriously, it   more...
