Ed Wade Said He Could Have Traded Utley In A Package Zito
Ed Wade has been criticized for the trades he made with the Phillies, but the former Philadelphia GM reminded people that he was fired, so it would not make sense for him to help out the organization.
During a discussion with CSN Philly, Wade discussed some trades that could have happened years ago.
Over the course of my eight years as general manager, there were opportunities to...

The Next Zito: Tim Lincecum?
On Tuesday, Tim Lincecum asked for $21.5 million from the San Francisco Giants in arbitration. The Giants asked for a far more reasonable $17 million. That’s still more than any other non-free agent player in arbitration. Heck, it’s more than Pablo Sandoval will make in three years.
Boy, remember when a player’s arbitration years were supposed to be the cheap years?
But...

Barry Zito set to wed Miss Missouri
San Francisco’s (paid like a) ace Barry Zito is tying the knot this weekend with 2007 Miss Missouri, Amber Seyer. I’m not sure who wins out in this marriage, Barry Zito who gets a former Miss Missouri or Seyer, who will get half of that $126 million contract when they get divorced in three years.

Zito to marry porn star?
That's Amber on her knees (left). Suddenly, Barry's porn 'stache makes sense.
Death. Taxes. Hot chicks at Barry Zito’s bachelor pad.
There aren’t many things in life that are certain, and now you can go ahead and cross Zito’s playboy days off the short list.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the 33-year old Giants pitcher is getting married,...

The New York Mets Should Look to Acquire the San Francisco Giants’ Barry Zito
This past weekend I put together a Playstation 3 inspired post suggesting that the New York Mets should look to add payroll this offseason. Take a minute to read over that if you want the full breadth of the idea. If you’re just trying to get a little New York Mets fix before you go about your day, I’ll just give you the Cliff’s notes. In order to add to their farm...

Zito will participate as celebrity judge for scholarship program
Giants pitcher Barry Zito knows a thing or two about philanthropy. Since 2006, his “Strikeouts For Troops” program has generated nearly two million dollars for wounded soldiers.
Now, he’s giving of himself again.
This time as a celebrity judge in Foot Locker’s upcoming Scholar Athletes Program, which will award 20 students $20,000 each in college scholarships...

Giants Won’t Release Barry Zito
I don’t know about you but to me it seems like it’s been about a decade since Barry Zito signed his ridiculous seven-year, $126 million contract with the San Francisco Giants. Turns out that after this season, Zito still has two years and $46 million remaining on that deal. And as of right now, the Giants have no plans to cut the virtually useless lefty loose.

Maybe it’s time for Barry Zito and the Giants to part ways
According to John Shea, Barry Zito could be activated as early as today. As such, it seems like an appropriate time to re-evaluate his role as a Giant…
The Zito contract was an obvious mistake from day one — no question about it. Multi-year $100MM contracts for pitchers are inherently risky, and that’s exacerbated by the fact that Zito wasn’t even much of...

Barry Zito Throws Batting Practice
For the sick souls that want to relive last nights beating let's take a look at the meat balls that the Phillies hammered against Barry Zito.
First Inning:
Ryan Howard hits a double. This pitch wasn't too bad but an 84 mph inside fastball isn't gonna fool too many guys and Howard turned on the pitch. The Giants made him look like he was worth the $20 million plus...
