Bobby Kielty’s Pitching a New Plan
Bobby Kielty, Relief Pitcher. No, that’s not a typo. The red-headed former Red Sox bench player is now making an attempt to revive his career…in the bullpen. The career .254 hitter had one memorable moment in his only at-bat in the 2007 World Series when he hit a pinch-hit homerun that proved to be the [...]

Kielty threw for the Mets...
Last year in late January the Mets signed Bobby Kielty to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training. It came down to Kielty Vs. Anderson for the last spot on the roster, Kielty was willing to do what it took to make the team first dropping switch hitting and then picking it back up. Starters cont. to struggle
Another day and another starter struggles, I hope they get it all out of their systems in spring training otherwise we won't need our vaunted bullpen. Johan Santana looks brilliant and Livan Hernandez keeps chugging ( seemed like a fitting...

Mets sign Bobby Kielty
Mets signed 32 y/o switch hitting OF and 1B Bobby Kielty to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training. Kielty has been a weak hitting defensive specialist, although in 2006 he hit .270 in 80 games. He has always hit lefties well, batting .296 with a .379 OBP and is a much better ...

Kielty's Return Hinges On Crisp
Odds are that Coco Crisp will be traded in the coming weeks for a player or players that will help the Red Sox for the 2008 season. If that happens, odds are Bobby Kielty could return to the Red Sox as the fourth outfielder.
