The Great Big 2012 Blue Jays Forecast Series, Part 14: Brandon Morrow
With spring training officially just under a month away, we continue with a series of projections on what the 2012 Toronto Blue Jays might look like. Each day (don’t hold me to this), I will profile a 2012 Blue Jays starter, closing with a set of numbers based on my (usually positive) expectations. Today, we’ll look at one of the Blue Jays’ latest multi-year signing...

Brandon Morrow’s Left On Base Blues
Has it ever happened to you where one number — just one measly stat — throws your mind on a complete tangent, and results in you wasting a half hour of your life? This happens to me more often than I should admit. For instance, I was taking a stroll this morning through the FanGraphs leaderboards when one stat jumped out and lodged itself in my brain. Oh look, Brandon...

Blue Jays Set To Extend Brandon Morrow With 3-Year Contract
It was only last week that the remote possibility surfaced of Brandon Morrow (along with Casey Janssen) being the first arbitration case to go to a meeting with the Blue Jays since 1997. That went out the window tonight, as the Blue Jays have announced that they’ve signed the 27-year old to a 3-year extension worth $20 million.
Shi Davidi of Sportsnet first broke the news on...

Jays to lock up Morrow tomorrow?
Shi Davidi tweets that the Jays and Brandon Morrow are set to announce......
......a 3 year, $20MM contract with a $10MM buyout. I would assume there are some team options in there. If true this would leave only Casey Janssen unsigned amont the arbitration eligible players.

Brandon Morrow, 2012 Fantasy Sleeper
This is ridiculous. Brandon Morrow has been a sleeper for me going on three years. I realize this. Hence my pointing-it-out’ing. Here’s what I have to ask myself. Is he just another Ricky Nolasco? A guy that consistently has an ERA higher than his xFIP and you should just ignore? Nolasco had a 5.06 ERA in 2009 and a 3.23 xFIP. Pegged by everyone and their monkey...
