Atlanta Braves designate Brent Clevlen for assignmenet

David O’Brian of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution says the Atlanta Braves had designated outfielder Brent Clevlen for assignment. If he clears waivers, he will go to Triple-A Gwinnett. Clevlen, 26, has one hit (a double) in four at-bats this season with the Braves. He is a lifetime .234/.280/.429 hitter.

Flight delays Clevlen's big league return

The Braves expected outfielder Brent Clevlen to arrive in Washington, D.C., about an hour after Tuesday night's 3-0 loss started. His flight from Atlanta was delayed more than an hour and Clevlen didn't arrive at Nationals Park until the game was nearly over.
