Pavano embracing leadership role with Twins
MINNEAPOLIS Carl Pavano is the resident wily veteran of the Minnesota Twins' pitching rotation, but he can relate to the issues the team's younger pitchers went through in 2011.While the Twins struggled as a team during last year's 99-loss season, many of the team's starting pitchers also had down years. Starters Nick Blackburn, Scott Baker and Francisco Liriano...

Pavano gets back in the win column
Finally, Minnesota Twins starter Carl Pavano is back in the win column.
Prior to Friday's game against the Los Angeles Angels, Pavano hadn't won since before the All-Star break, when he defeated the White Sox on July 7. But following Friday's 13-5 win over the Angels, Pavano has snapped his streak of winless outings at nine to improve to 7-11 on the season.

Carl Pavano, bad investment?
When the Twins waited and waited this offseason to sign Carl Pavano I was all for it. I was not a fan of a three year commitment worth anywhere near the $30 million that was originally rumored. I think the Twins new darn well he wouldn’t pitch well enough to be worth $30 million and now I am starting to wonder if he is worth the two years and $16.5 million he ended up getting paid...

Video: Carl Pavano Freaks Out on Trash Can After Royals Outing
Could it be? No, come on. Has the mustache lost its luster? Contrary to popular LBS belief, facial hair may not be everything after all. Twins ace Carl Pavano finished a terrible month of April on Sunday with a loss to the Royals. His ERA through six starts is 5.84. We know Pavano’s head isn’t [...]

Pavano has big meltdown on bench
The Minnesota Twins are off to an awful start. The American League Central is flipped upside down with the Indians and Royals in first and second place and the Twins, White Sox and Tigers looking up at them. After getting pulled from yesterday's start after giving up 12 hits and six earned runs through 5 and 1/3 innings, Pavano grabbed some lumber and took BP against the bench...
