For left-handed reliever Cesar Jimenez, the first win was a long time coming. Five years and 10 days, to be exact, from the time he made his Major League debut for the Mariners in 2006 to his first victory in Wednesday's 5-4 nail-biter over the Twins at Target Field.

Jimenez outrighted to Tacoma; Gutierrez headed to 15-day DL

Several players cleared waivers and were removed from the 40-man roster today by way of an outright assignment. The latest:
Brewers outfielder Brandon Boggs is headed to Triple-A Nashville, tweets Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Boggs, 28, hit .290/.406/.470 in 439 Triple-A plate appearances last year while playing all three outfield positions.
