Brewers LHP Narveson has surgery on left hip
Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Chris Narveson has had surgery on his left hip and is expected to be ready for spring training.
The Brewers disclosed the surgery Tuesday. Narveson was 11-8 with a 4.45 ERA this season. He made six postseason appearances for the Brewers, giving up nine runs in 7 1-3 innings.

Brewers hurler Narveson has procedure on hip
Milwaukee Brewers hurler Chris Narveson underwent surgery on his left hip Tuesday, according to team officials. The left-hander will visit Dr. William Raasch Wednesday for a follow-up examination before returning to his North Carolina home to continue therapy.
Narveson, who went 11-8 with a 4.45 ERA this season, is expected to be ready for spring training.

The Milwaukee Brewers placed lefthander Chris Narveson on the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday, one day after cutting his thumb on his pitching hand with scissors.
Narveson, who has posted an 8-6 mark with a 4.49 ERA this season, was originally scheduled to start Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
