Tom Singer of MLB.com reports that the Pittsburgh Pirates will look into left handed reliever Clay Rapada. Rapada was designated for assignment today by the Baltimore Orioles. In a Tweet by the Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun, he reports that the Orioles have designated Clay Rapada for assignment in order to make room for Alfredo Simon. Zrebiec follows up on Sunday, July 3 and says that Rapada has cleared waivers and has accepted an assignment to Triple-A Norfolk.
