The Toronto Blue Jays entered yesterday with six players who are arbitration-eligible. Now, there is one less, as the team has agreed to a one-year term with centrefielder Colby Rasmus, a deal worth $2.7 million dollars.

Blue Jays ink Rasmus to 1-year deal
The Toronto Blue Jays signed center fielder Colby Rasmus to a one-year contract.
The deal, which allows the sides to avoid arbitration, is worth $2.7 million for Rasmus.
The 25-year-old was acquired from the St. Louis Cardinals at the trading deadline last season.
