The Great Big 2012 Blue Jays Forecast Series, Part 9: Colby Rasmus
With spring training officially just under a month away, we continue with a series of projections on what the 2012 Toronto Blue Jays might look like. Blue Jays Avoid Arbitration With Colby Rasmus, Agree To One-Year Deal
The Toronto Blue Jays entered yesterday with six players who are arbitration-eligible. Now, there is one less, as the team has agreed to a one-year term with centrefielder Colby Rasmus, a deal worth $2.7 million dollars.
Now, I suppose the post could end at that, but while we’re on the subject, let’s discuss Rasmus a little further.

Blue Jays, Rasmus agree to $2.7M deal
The Toronto Blue Jays and center fielder Colby Rasmus have agreed to a one-year, $2.7 million contract, avoiding arbitration.
The Blue Jays acquired the 25-year-old from St. Louis in a three-team trade that included the White Sox in July after the 2005 first-round pick struggled at the plate and clashed with the Cardinals over his choice to be coached by his father rather than hitting...

As 2011 unfolded, Rasmus&...

Anthopoulos parted with relatively little to acquire a young center fielder who was worth 4.3 WAR in the previous season at only...
