The Los Angeles Dodgers sign Cory Sullivan
The Dodgers have signed 32-year old lefty swinging outfielder Cory Sullivan to a minor league deal. Sullivan played in 36 games in AAA-ball last year and he was 21 for 100 (.210 avg, .586 OPS) with 15 runs scored, 0 homers, 14 RBIs and 2 stolen bases. He last played in the majors back in 2010 for the Astros. Sullivan has now played in 476 games in his first six years in the majors...

Cory Sullivan Triples His Way into Farm System
The Phillies and Astros continue their tradition of casually intertwining names on their respective rosters. It would be sort of romantic, if it was a pair of starcrossed lovers and not two professional baseball franchises.
April 9, 2006, Cory Sullivan entered the record books. By tripling twice in the same inning, he became the 11th player to ever accomplish the feat, in an...

Saturday Fodder: Cory Sullivan
You may be wondering- Why exactly does Cory Sullivan deserve a featured post on WSBGMs? Well, it's Saturday, spring training hasn't started yet and there's really not much worth writing about. So, say hello to Cory Sullivan, the newest member of has-beens that Amaro has signed to minor league contracts to add "depth" to the organization. Hey, at least it...

Sullivan Signs Minor League Deal
The Phillies have signed outfielder Cory Sullivan to a Minor League contract, according to several sources including MLB.com and Phillies.com.
Sullivan will be in Minor League camp with a possibility of making the major league club. It is likely that Sullivan (a left-handed hitter) would have to outperform Ross Gload (L), John Mayberry, Jr. (R) and Domonic Brown (L) in order to ride...

Sully could have blocked Matthews...
Adam Rubin reports that the Mets attempted to re-sign Cory Sullivan when Carlos Beltran went down. Apparently Sully wanted the team to guarantee that they wouldn't sign another outfielder which they wouldn't do, so he signed with the Astros where he'll more then likely be on the opening day roster. Rubin goes on to report that had the Mets re-signed Sully they wouldn...

Cory Sullivan signs with Astros..
Some maybe seeing this as no big deal but Sullivan was the perfect fit as the fourth outfielder while Beltran was out. He had the range to play center fielder and was a very smart player, although he had a weak bat, when he did get on you could expect him to not make a mistake.Fans who are supporting this administration can keep dismissing guys but eventually there's going to...

Jeremy Reed Seals The Deal With Big Day
Jeremy Reed has just about sewn up a spot on the opening day roster as the fourth outfielder.
Today against the Braves, Reed had a banner day going 4-5 with two runs scored and four ribbies. Ironically, he wasn't even supposed to play today as Carlos Beltran was slated to start but was scratched minutes before the game and replaced by Reed.
Jeremy Reed is now batting .426 and...

Pagan's at it again....
Angel Pagan hit over 300 in spring training last year and out of nowhere won himself a spot on the opening day roster. In fact for the month of April with Alou injured he was the starting left fielder. Pagan had some mishaps in the outfield and never seemed to have Willie's support as I ...

Mets sign Sullivan - trade coming ?
It's been reported that the Mets have signed Cory Sullivan to a major league deal worth $600,000. On the surface it appears to be an odd signing, which makes me speculate that something else is in the works. Sullivan is a 29 y/o left handed outfielder with a lifetime .279 BA. I don't have ...
