Orioles sign O'Day, Eveland to 1-year deals
The Baltimore Orioles have signed pitchers Darren O'Day and Dana Eveland to one-year contracts.
Claimed off waivers from the Texas Rangers this offseason, O'Day agreed to a $1.35 million deal. The right-handed reliever was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 2011 and is 8-5 with a 2.89 ERA in 186 career games. He made $1,251,000 last season.

Orioles acquire LHP Eveland from Dodgers
The Baltimore Orioles acquired lefthander Dana Eveland from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday.
Fox Sports was the first to report the deal, which also sees the Dodgers landing lefthander Jarret Martin and infielder/outfielder Tyler Henson.
Eveland, 28, posted a 3-2 mark with a 3.03 ERA in 29 2/3 innings last season.
Martin, 22, has posted a 4.65 ERA over his first two seasons...

Dana Eveland Designated for Assignment
The Pittsburgh Pirates have designated Dana Eveland for assignment, and are expected to make two additions to the 25-man roster today. The Pirates acquired Eveland at the start of June, after being designated for assignment by the Toronto Blue Jays. Pittsburgh traded relief pitching prospect Ronald Uviedo for 23 days of Eveland's service.
