Headaches a thing of the past for Nippert
Rangers pitcher Dustin Nippert said he's finally over the headaches that had been causing him trouble since he landed on the disabled list. Nippert was hit in the head by a line drive July 19 in Detroit.

Nippert to disabled list, Mathis recalled
Dustin Nippert, who was hit in the head by a line drive Monday night, is headed to the disabled list, said assistant manager Thad Levine, and Doug Mathis has been recalled. The clubhouse isn't yet open, so no official diagnosis is known on Nippert. He had a CT scan alst night that came back negative.

Diamondbacks swing a trade
A relatively minor trade took place tonight between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Texas Rangers. In the deal, the Rangers receive for Arizona Minor League Pitcher of the Year, Dustin Nippert and the D-Backs get minor league pitcher Jose Marte. Nippert was originally the favorite to take the last spot in Arizona's bullpen so this deal is a little surprise.
