Edwar Ramirez had a short stop with the Rangers before being traded to the Oakland A’s for an infielder Gregorio Petit.
During the off season the Rangers traded away Kevin Millwood to the Orioles to free up payroll space in order to fulfill the needs of the 25 man roster. They went out and signed Kahlil Greene with the understanding that he would be their utility infielder.
The rotation, the bullpen and the outfield have all looked [...]

Yanks Send Edwar to Texas
According to Jack Curry and Sam Borden, the Yankees have traded reliever Edwar Ramirez to the Texas Rangers for cash considerations. Ramirez was designated for assignment when the club signed right-hander Chan Ho Park last week. Ramirez, 28, posted a 5.73 ERA and a uncharacteristic 1.22 K/BB ration in 22 innings for the Yankees before a demotion...

Change-up king Ramirez Designated for Assignment
Change-up king maybe a stretch, but there’s no doubt the change-up has been the make or break pitch in Edwar Ramirez’s career with the New York Yankees. It’s the pitch that has been his success, one which he learned essentially on his own after being released by the Los Angeles Angels earlier in his career.
It was announced today...

Sunday Quick Hits: Cano, Ramirez, Moeller
Just a few quick hits as we wait for baseball season:
- Edwar Ramirez was DFA’d today to make room for Chan Ho Park and I would be surprised if Edwar wasn’t picked up by someone. Rob asked me the other day via Twitter who I thought had more value, Ramirez or Jonathan Albaladejo. I said Ramirez because he has the best pitch. Neither...

Edwar Ramirez DFA
With Chan Ho Park's arrival at Yankees camp down in Tampa today, the Yanks needed to open up some space on the 40-man roster, so they did so by designating Edwar Ramirez for assignment. This looks like the end of the Edwar era.In 96 career games with the Yankees from 2006-2009, Ramirez went 6-2, with 2 saves, a 5.22 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP. In 98.1 innings pitched he allowed 57 earned...

Edwar DFA’d
In order to make room of the 40-man roster for their newest arrival, 36-year old Chan Ho Park, the Yankees have designated Edwar Ramirez for assignment. As we all know, Edwar’s changeup is great, however, without a better fastball – a faster fastball – Major League hitters often got the best of him (2.45 HR/9 [...]

Yankees DFA Edwar Ramirez
The New York Yankees have designated Edwar Ramirez for assignment, according to a team press release. The move was necessary to make room on the 40-man roster for Chan Ho Park, whose signing is now official.
Ramirez pitched 22 innings out of the Yankees' bullpen in 2009, recording a 5.73 ERA. The 28-year-old righty did show promise in his time with New York though...

Edwar Ramirez Joins Small List of Injured
Spring training has a few undeniable purposes, to audition players for open positions and to get everyone in shape for the season. The most important thing though is to keep everyone healthy.
Edwar Ramirez was the latest victim of the setbacks of spring as he cut his bullpen session short yesterday after just five pitches complaining [...]

Yankee Deathwatch 2008
One more loss and we're officially done. Maybe not mathematically, but in my mind. I've been saying this for a week or so now, maybe more, and I'm sorry to beat a dead horse, but I think the winner of the AL wild card will end up with 94 wins. Right now, the Red Sox and Rays are in a virtual tie for
