Brewers invite INF Erick Almonte to Spring Training

In a Twitter announcement, the Milwaukee Brewers have said that they will invite infielder Erick Almonte to the team's Major League Spring Training Camp. The 32-year-old Almonte, has not played in the big leagues since 2003 with the New York Yankees.  He's played 39 career Major League games (mostly at shortstop) and has a lifetime .269/.327/.365 average. ]]>
