The Padres signed right-hander Geoff Geary to a Minor League contract on Wednesday. The deal did not include an invite to big league Spring Training camp.

Los Angeles Dodgers sign RHP Geoff Geary

According to the Pacific Coast League’s transaction page, the Los Angeles Dodgers have signed right-handed pitcher Geoff Geary and assigned him to Triple-A Albuquerque. Geary last pitched for the Houston Astros in 2009 when he went 1-3 with a 8.10 ERA in 16 appearances. He has a lifetime 16-10 record with a 3.92 ERA in seven seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies and Astros.

Dodgers Sign Geoff Geary

The Dodgers signed Geoff Geary and assigned him to Triple A, according to the transactions page for the Pacific Coast League. The 33-year-old right-hander posted a 5.37 ERA with 4.9 K/9 and 3.2 BB/9 in 58.2 innings in the Rangers system this year. He allowed 83 hits, including seven homers, for Triple A Oklahoma City and the Rangers released him last month.
