According to Maury Brown of the Business of Sports Network, former Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Geoff Jenkins will formally announce his retirement from baseball in a press conference on Friday at Miller Park.

Reds Discussing Jenkins, Catalanotto
John Fay of the Cincinatti Enquirer is reporting that the Reds are having internal discussions about possibly adding Geoff Jenkins or Frank Catalanotto. Either player would provide the veteran presence they need in the clubhouse and on the field. Phillies Release Jenkins
The Phillies have parted ways with outfielder Geoff Jenkins, FOXSports.com is reporting. Jenkins, 31, hit .246 with 9 HR in 115 games last season, and is hitting .250 with 1 HR in 44 at-bats this spring.
