Florida Marlins release LHP Hunter Jones
Joc Capozzi of The Palm Beach Post says the Florida Marlins have released left-handed pitcher Hunter Jones.
Jones, 26, was 0-0 with a 9.24 ERA in 11 appearances for the Marlins this year.

Red Sox Call Up Bard
The Red Sox have called up relief pitcher Daniel Bard, the Providence Journal is reporting. Bard is 1-0 in eleven appearances with the Triple-A Red Sox, and owns a 1.13 ERA with 29 strikeouts and 6 saves.
