Dodgers Prospect #30 - LHP James Adkins
Lefty James Adkins, a supplemental first round choice in 2007, has been pushed due to the fact he attended college for three years. Except for the first year he has struggled but there are many who feel he has the necessary arm and will still have an impact in the Major Leagues, as we do, and he is our prospect #30.

Akins Pitches Chattanooga to an 8-0 Win
Albuquerque lost 11-5 to Nashville. Chattanooga starter James Adkins and two relievers allowed only five hits while beating Mississippi 8-0. Inland Empire had nine extra-base hits and broke a seven-game losing streak, topping Rancho Cucamonga 9-3. Fort Wayne stopped Great Lakes 5-1. The Arizona Dodgers survived a ninth-inning comeback to win 7-4. Ogden was not scheduled.

Great Pitching Featured in Minor League Games
Dodgers Minor League clubs received sparkling pitching efforts from James Adkins (Chattanooga), Tim Sexton (Inland Empire), Josh Walter (Great Lakes) and Yimi Garcia (Dominican Dodgers) in yesterday's actions. Adkins lost 2-1 but Sexton took a 3-1 decision, Walter a 4-2 victory and Garcia sailed to a 1-0 win. Albuquerque lost, Ogden was rained out and the AZ Dodgers did not play.

James Adkins Runs Scoreless Streak to 12
Kuckleballer Charlie Haeger worked his third complete game to lead Albuquerque to a 5-1 win over Round Rock. Lefty James Adkins allowed one hit in a 5-0 win over Mobile. Rancho Cucamonga held Inland Empire to three hits and won 6-1. Great Lakes and Burlington split a doubleheader, the Bees winning the opener 7-3 and the Loons winning the second 2-0 behind Starter Geison Aguasviva and Luis Garcia.
