He pitched in 110 games (63 starts) in his four years in the minors with the Dodgers and he was 15-24 with 1 save, a 4.77 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP. Lefty James Adkins, a supplemental first round choice in 2007, has been pushed due to the fact he attended college for three years. Except for the first year he has struggled but there are many who feel he has the necessary arm and will still have an impact in the Major Leagues, as we do, and he is our prospect #30.

Albuquerque lost 11-5 to Nashville. Chattanooga starter James Adkins and two relievers allowed only five hits while beating Mississippi 8-0. Inland Empire had nine extra-base hits and broke a seven-game losing streak, topping Rancho Cucamonga 9-3. Fort Wayne stopped Great Lakes 5-1. Dodgers Minor League clubs received sparkling pitching efforts from James Adkins (Chattanooga), Tim Sexton (Inland Empire), Josh Walter (Great Lakes) and Yimi Garcia (Dominican Dodgers) in yesterday's actions.
