Washington Nationals designate catcher Jamie Burke for assignment?

According to Mark Zuckerman of CSN Washington, the Nationals have designated catcher Jamie Burke for assignment in order to make room for Ivan Rodriguez. Bill Ladson of MLB.com says that the team want to see Pudge work out first. The actual DFA may not occur until just before tonight’s game. Burke, 38, only played in one game for the Nationals this season with no at-bats.
