Mark Teixeira = Jason Giambi ?
Soon after Mark Teixeira signed that huge 8-year, $180 million deal back in 2008, I stumbled across an interesting comparison, talking about how Tex could go down the same path as Jason Giambi, who had just finished his 7-year deal with the Bombers.
When I first heard this, I couldn't help but laugh. Giambi was a steroid-user, DL prone for a good part of his contract...

Giambi, Clemens 'routinely' drank beer in Yankees dugout
Apparently, there isn't much difference between an MLB dugout and your local pub. According to the "two veteran clubhouse insiders" who were interviewed by The Daily News, many MLB players -- including members of the prestigious New York Yankees -- would knock a few pops back during games. "Jason Giambi and Roger Clemens would routinely drink beer on the dugout...

Jason Giambi smashes the Colorado Rockies to victory
With 416 career home runs coming into Thursday, Jason Giambi had never hit three in the same game. That changed in his first three at-bats, as the lefty-slugger knocked three no-doubt bombs to right field, propelling the Colorado Rockies to a 7-1 win over Philadelphia.Giambi had watched video of some of his past at-bats and realized that he was crouching over more than normal. Jason Giambi goes yard thrice, wait what?
Famous roid abuser Jason Giambi homered three times tonight against the Phillies, doing it for the first time in his messy career. Giambi was filling in for Todd Helton who experienced back stiffness after Wednesday's game. Giambi finished the night 3-5 with 7 RBI's. It amazes me that during his prime "roid" years he couldn't do something that he was able to...
