Jeremy Reed clears waivers, outrighted to Triple-A
Brewers outfielder Jeremy Reed, who was designated for assignment a couple of days ago, has cleared waivers reports Tom Haudricourt of the Journal Sentinel. Reed was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville.
Reed, 29, played in seven games with the Brewers this season but did not get on base nor did he get a hit. He's a lifetime .252/.309/.354 hitter in eight Major League Seasons.

Toronto Blue Jays OF Jeremy Reed elects free agency
The Toronto Blue Jays have outrighted outfielder Jeremy Reed to make room on the 40-man roster. The outfielder refused the assignment to the Minor Leagues and elected to become a free agent, according to the official Toronto Blue Jays Twitter account.
Reed, 29, was hitting .143/.217/.286 in 14 games for the Blue Jays.
