Nationals, C Flores reach agreement
The Washington Nationals have signed catcher Jesus Flores to a one-year deal worth $815,000.
The two sides avoided arbitration with the deal, which was announced Monday.
Flores missed the 2010 campaign following surgery on a torn labrum in his shoulder, suffered when a foul ball struck him.
The 27-year-old batted .209 with a homer and two RBIs in 86 at-bats last season.

Flores and Nationals agree at $815,000
Catcher Jesus Flores and the Washington Nationals have agreed to an $815,000, one-year contract, a raise of $65,000.
The 27-year-old hit .209 in 86 at-bats last year after missing the 2010 season following surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He was hit by a foul ball on May 9, 2009, returned for three at-bats that September and then had the operation.
