Outrighted To Triple-A: Joe Thurston
Here are today's outrighted players...
The Marlins outrighted Joe Thurston to Triple-A, according to MLB.com's transactions page. They had designated him for assignment over the weekend to create roster space for Alfredo Amezaga. The 31-year-old Thurston had a .315/.401/.477 line at Triple-A before joining the Marlins.

Braves To Sign Joe Thurston
The Braves have agreed to sign Joe Thurston, according to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The 30-year-old utility man hit .225/.316/.330 for the Cardinals last year, spending time at second, third and left. The Phillies, Yankees, Rockies, Dodgers and Indians also had interest in Thurston, according to his agent, Lou Tevlin.
