Dodgers sign John Grabow to minor-league deal
The Dodgers signed veteran left-handed reliever and local product John Grabow today to a minor-league deal. Terms not known."Scanlan coached Grabow in high school, which is how he heard about this news before any media reported...

Cubs reliever John Grabow catches home run ball in hat
Sitting in the visiting Busch Stadium bullpen tonight in St. Louis, John Grabow gave new meaning to the term hat trick. He caught Alfonso Soriano's ninth inning bomb in his hat. Web gem? Definitely - well, kinda, sorta, not really. Tough to pull it off? You try it.

Why Would You Ever Do This?
John Grabow's family had the distinct pleasure and good luck to meet a real live Cubs blogger who uses too many commas:
Which, fortunately, was where my seat, behind first base was located, and now you'll find out why I said "more about John Grabow below the fold". I happened to find myself sitting right behind Grabow's wife and several members of her family...
