Kansas City Royals release LHP John Parrish
According to Bob Dutton of The Kansas City Star, the Royals have released left-handed pitcher John Parrish.
Parish, 32, has struggled this year due to shoulder issues. He’s 1-1 with a 4.04 ERA in 9 appearances.

Parrish still on mend with rotator cuff
Reliever John Parrish is still not fully recovered from his inflamed rotator cuff, which placed him on the 15-day disabled list, but the lefty is hopeful to return soon. Parrish said he is making progress and will be reevaluated when the Royals return from Boston.

Parrish serves up tie-breaking homer in 6-5 loss to Twins
MINNEAPOLIS | What the Royals needed was for the rest of their relief corps to start pitching like John Parrish. Not the other way around. Parrish caught the bullpen virus Saturday afternoon when he surrendered a tie-breaking homer to Orlando Hudson in the seventh inning that sent the Royals to a 6-5 loss to the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.
