Sox sign Adkins to minor league contract
By Mark GonzalesThe White Sox signed pitcher Jon Adkins, who pitched for them from 2003 to 2005, to a minor league contract.Adkins will be assigned to Triple-A Charlotte.Adkins, 32, was 1-4 with a 5.46 ERA and 10 saves in 34 games for Louisville.

Cincinnati Reds release RHP Jon Adkins
According to right-handed pitcher Jon Adkins‘ official Twitter account, he says, “Wanted to let all my tweeps know that Sun after the gm, the Reds released me, they need my innings so they can move guys…in WV chillin now”
Adkins, 32, has not pitched in the Major Leagues since he appeared in four games for the Reds in 2008 when he went 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA....
