Rockies Sign De La Rosa

The Rockies and Jorge De La Rosa have agreed to a one year deal worth 2 million dollars, avoiding arbitration. De La Rosa went 10-8 with a 4.92 ERA in 130 innings for the Rockies last season. He has the potential, if he can command his pitches better, to be a solid back-end of the rotation starter.

Jason Marquis Heading To The Rockies

According to the Denver Post, the Colorado Rockies will trade Luis Castillo to the Chicago Cubs in return for starting pitcher Jason Marquis. The deal is expected to be finalized next week. The Rockies will also get about $1 million, so they'll only be paying Marquis $8.75 million...
