A's rookie starter Outman goes on DL
Oakland Athletics rookie pitcher Josh Outman has been put on the disabled list because of a sprained left elbow.
Outman had an MRI exam Monday and had been scheduled for a more extensive test Wednesday. He left his start last Friday at San Diego after 1 2-3 innings.
