Julian Tavarez lost something athletes work their whole lives for. He lost his World Series ring. After being designated for assignment by the Red Sox, he was later released and then signed for the remainder of the year by the Milwaukee Brewers. While cleaning out his locker, he somehow forgot to take the $20,000 ring with him.

Trade Rumor: Brewers talking trade for Julian Tavarez
It's been four days since the Red Sox designated reliever Julian Tavarez and they're still trying to figure out what to do with him. He will be due 3.8 million dollars if they outright release him so they're trying to trade him on the open market and get something in return.
Unfortunately most teams are still wary of Theo Epstein and think he's asking too much...

Julian Tavarez: What You Might Call 'Out of Touch'
Julian Tavarez didn't know until reporting for spring training a few days ago that (a) Schilling was injured, and (b) he was in competition for a starter's spot. He also carries around stuff in garbage bags. I wish I was making this up.
