Philadelphia Phillies Sign Infielder Kevin Frandsen to Minor League Contract
The Philadelphia Phillies have re-signed infielder Kevin Frandsen to a minor-league contract for the second year in a row.
Frandsen, 29, is a five-year major league veteran who can play first base, second base, third base, shortstop, and both corner outfield positions. He is a .243 lifetime hitter with seven home runs in 626 plate appearances.

Philadelphia Phillies Triple-A Player Suspended 50 Games
Kevin Frandsen, an infielder for the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs, was just suspended for 50 games, according to MLB.com’s Todd Zolecki. Frandsen violated the minor-league drug policy by testing positive for Ritalin.
