The Rangers decided to void Khalil Greene's contract, reports MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan.

The Texas Rangers signed Khalil Greene to be their reserve infielder in January, and it appears that the team is going to have to move to a backup plan for their backup plan. "While managers platooned players based on handedness for decades, I've often wondered if home/road platoons might be appropriate in extreme parks." In Greene's case, it might make sense.
