The Daily Brief: Losing to the Cubs Never Feels Good
Last Game
The Cincinnati Reds pushed their losing streak to 5, losing 8-1 to the Chicago Cubs. The Reds used nothing but relievers, and may be able to eliminate some thanks to poor performances from Carlos Fisher, Kip Wells, and Matt Maloney. The offense was punch-less, continuing a theme from last year, although Joey Votto picked up a couple hits.

Oh no!
Kip Wells is gone! The sky is falling!
Wells is the only Red to file for free agency, but the Reds still have some decisions to make. They’ve already made the questionable decision to bring back Ramon Hernandez. Next up: Jonny Gomes and Laynce Nix.
Should the Reds bring either of these guys back? You know I love Gomes and his sombrero, but I’m still wavering on whether...

Design The 2010 Reds Rotation
Back in August, we looked at and discussed the potential 2010 Reds outfield. We will soon get to see how the Reds’ plans unfold for next year’s team. As we wait for November moves to begin, let’s look at other areas of the Reds club.
How would you structure the 2010 rotation? It would seem to be one of the easier areas on the ballclub to address:

Nationals Sign Kip Wells
The Nationals and Kip Wells have agreed to a minor league with an invitation to Spring Training. Wells owns a career 4.67 ERA in 256 career games, but only made two starts in 25 games last season. He probably won't have a huge impact on the Nationals in 2009, but he is a veteran pitcher, and they are always good to have around during Spring Training. This story was approved by MLB Rumors.

College Football Pick'em Week 15 Results
Alright, so I will be the first to admit that I did not end the season on a high note. Last week, was fairly brutal when it came to picking games. It can happen to the best of us, and the good ones pick themselves up, brush off the dirt and just move on. So, that is what I am going to do. The Bowl season starts next week, and you can believe I will be on fire in the Walker-Sports...
