Twins' Hughes hurts shoulder in winter ball
MINNEAPOLIS Minnesota Twins infielder Luke Hughes injured his right shoulder while playing in his native Australia this winter, and he'll be out 3-4 weeks as a result.
Hughes, 27, was playing for the Perth Heat of the Australian Baseball League this winter. He hurt his shoulder while sliding into home during his team's semifinal game earlier this month.

Hughes the Force, Luke
Out of options next season, infielder Luke Hughes has certainly made the most of his late season audition so far.
Never considered a blue chip prospect in the minors, Hughes garnered attention in 2008 when he had what some viewed as his Great Leap Forward – hitting .309/.369/.524 with 18 home runs split between New Britain and Rochester. That fanfare would not last long as he...

He can’t really be counted on to play shortstop, but can fill...

Storylines After 11 Spring Games: Injuries, Rumors and Luke Hughes
On the heels of a loss at the hands of a split-squad Baltimore Orioles team, the Minnesota Twins sit in the middle of the Grapefruit League pack at 6-5. Of course spring training records mean even less than spring training stats but nevertheless I still am encouraged by their record thus far.
If you were making a random pie chart of the storylines in Twins camp thus far, injuries...

2010 Twins Debuts: Luke Hughes
The Super Bowl is finally over and the NFL season has thankfully come to a close. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy watching football – college or NFL – but I am a much bigger fan of the regular season in both than I am the playoffs or the bowl/BCS (bunch-of-crap system).
Last week I covered Drew Butera who made his major league debut on April 9th, 2010. The 2nd Minnesota...
