Texas Rangers Re-Sign David Murphy, Mike Adams, Mark Lowe

The Texas Rangers have ensured three key pieces to the team’s consecutive World Series trips will stick around for at least one more season. On Monday, Rangers outfielder David Murphy and relievers Mark Lowe and Mike Adams each agreed to new contracts with the team. For whatever reason, Murphy’s new deal is only for one year and worth $3.625 million. The Rangers need the consistent...

Rangers' Lowe still hopeful of pitching playoffs

The availability of Rangers reliever Mark Lowe for the playoffs is very much in doubt because of a partial tear in his left hamstring. Lowe says he's disappointed but not giving up on the idea of pitching in the American League championship series or World Series if the AL West-leading Rangers advance past the first round of the playoffs. Manager Ron Washington said Friday...

Round Rock works wonders for Mark Lowe

On April 18, Mark Lowe was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock. The veteran reliever could have moped about his demotion but also knew he was heading to the Rangers' top minor league affiliate with a purpose. 2009 in Review: Mark Lowe

But, finally, Mark Lowe found his mojo in 2009.  He struck out 68 batters [...]

On Luke French and Mark Lowe Tonight

Another good win tonight. Russell and Kenji both came through big. I want to talk about two pitching performances though – Luke French, who pitched into the sixth, and Mark Lowe, who pitched a perfect eighth. Luke French started off the game really nicely. Through the first four innings he allowed just one hit, and three [...]
