Former major league pitcher Matt Clement was hired Monday to be the boys basketball coach at his alma mater, Butler (Pa.) High School, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

Blue Jays Sign Clement
The Blue Jays and Matt Clement have agreed to a minor league deal with an invitation to Spring Training, FOXSports.com is reporting. Clement has not pitched since 2006, but put up impressive numbers prior to going down, including five double-digit win seasons. He is a big risk, with high reward if he can stay healthy.
