Royals place C Treanor on concussion list
Kansas City Royals catcher Matt Treanor left Saturday's game against Cleveland following a collision at home plate.
Treanor was sent to the hospital for a CT scan. The Royals placed him on the seven-day concussion list.
He was injured when Cleveland's Matt LaPorta attempted to bowl him over at home plate.
Treanor's head appeared to take the brunt of the blow from LaPorta's shoulder.

Royals acquire catcher Matt Treanor from the Rangers
The Kansas City Royals have acquired catcher Matt Treanor from the Texas Rangers for cash considerations according to Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star.
The Rangers signed Treanor for $850,000 back in December. Treanor, 34, hit .211/.387/.308 in 82 games with the Texas Rangers in 2010.

Matt Treanor close to returning to Texas Rangers
Catcher Matt Treanor is close to returning with the Texas Rangers, according to MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan. If he returns, he will most likely be the backup to Yorvit Torrealba.
