Trade With Sports Syzygy: A Jay Bruce Bonanza!
I completed my third trade with fellow Mike Piazza fan Mike from Sports Syzygy. You can check out the first here and the second here. I sent Mike a pair of Red Sox minor leaguers (one auto, one serial-numbered parallel) that I pulled from minor league products last year. In return, I was able to snag another sweet All-Star Game relic out of 2011 Topps Update, and it features one...

Watch: Mike Piazza on MSG Celebrity Row
During last night’s Knicks-Nuggets game at the Garden, Mike Piazza appeared at halftime with Jill Martin on the MSG Network.
You can watch the segment below, but some of the highlights were Piazza saying he and Johnny Bench are tied as “the best hitting catchers of all-time,” how he would like to go into the Hall of Fame with a Mets cap, and that Armando Benitez...

Mike Piazza: If I’m inducted into the HOF, I’ll go in as a Met
Last night I was at Madison Square Garden for the Knicks game. The game went into double overtime, and the Knicks lost. However, there was one MAJOR bright spot for Mets fans.
During halftime, they aired one of those Celebrity Row Twitter questionnaires and none other but the best hitting catcher of all time, Mike Piazza, was on the screen.
Someone finally asked the question we...

Mike Piazza Knows What Cap He Wants to Wear
A year from now, we'll know whether or not Mike Piazza is a first ballot Hall of Famer. That said, it appears as though the catching great has already thought about what cap he'd want to be wearing should he be immortalized in Cooperstown. And if that wasn't the most interesting tidbit to come from his interview with Jill Martin from MSG...his choice for "most impressive" pitcher he...

MANNY HAPPY RETURNS?
A's interested in Manny Ramirez?
Manny Ramirez is doing everything he can to break back into the show, and it seems that Billy Beane and the A's are the team showing the most interest in the mercurial slugger.

MMO Fair or Foul: Mike Piazza’s Mets Legacy
Here’s a new feature that will take a look at some of the stuff making the rounds in the Mets blogosphere. Tell us if you think the following statement is Fair or Foul.
It is probably unfair, but to me this encapsulates the 8-year Piazza Era in New York; a time marked by some spectacular play and wonderful moments but ultimately disappointment and failure. The Mets in Piazza...

Trade With Cards From The Quarry: A Mike Piazza Bat Slice, A Numbered Bison, and Some Needed Set Needs.
I completed my fourth trade with Johnny of Cards From The Quarry fame. You can check out the first here, the second here, and the third here. I sent my Rockies friend an auto, a low, low serial-numbered TriStar card, and a rookie cup card he needed from the 60s. In return, I received these great cards. First up, a Mike Piazza relic is always a welcome addition to my collection....

From Left Field: Is Mike Piazza A First-Ballot Hall Of Famer?
With the dust settled from this year’s Hall of Fame voting, the attention turns to a loaded 2013 ballot.
Prominent names such as Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens and Craig Biggio will be on the ballot for the first time, but so will one close to all of our hearts here at MMO: Mike Piazza.
Naturally, Mets fans have an enduring love for Piazza. He revolutionized this...

Mike Piazza, I Can See Right Through You!
I picked up this Piazza 90s insert from eBay - where else - a couple of months ago. It's not easily photographed, hence my fat fingers being in the below picture. It comes from 1994 Leaf Slideshow, and when held to light, is see-through. I took a video, but it was pretty damn terrible. So it was deleted rather quickly. Not bad for like a buck forty-nine.Next, a Russell Westbrook...
