Mitch Canham Demoted Back to San Antonio
As a side-effect of Matt Stairs’ activation bumping Aaron Cunningham to Triple-A, utility player Mitch Canham has been demoted from AAA Portland to AA San Antonio.
Canham, a former catcher who’s played all over the field this year, hit just .212/.298/.303 in San Antonio earlier this year, but managed a .320/.370/.400 line with Portland (albeit in just nine games).
