RAJAI DAVIS RUMORS & GOSSIP

Rajai Davis Bails Out Bullpen; Blue Jays Complete Sweep Of Mariners

For the 2nd time in 3 games, Rajai Davis has managed to come off the bench to provide timely late-game heroics – this time bailing out another bullpen meltdown, and helping the Blue Jays complete a 3-game sweep of the lowly Mariners in a 7-5 victory that nearly ended in a total disaster. Unfortunately, the late win took away another W for Jays starter Ricky Romero, who threw...

Daily Notes | Rajai Davis Changing the Standings with Steals

Rajai Davis has stolen five bases in six attempts in just three games since his return to the Blue Jays. He is not in the lineup tonight because of a neck injury, but I don’t think it’s anything to be too alarmed about since the injury that put him on the DL was related to his ankle. Davis has only reached base seven times, and one of those came on a triple. All six of...

Blue Jays Bats Silenced in Loss to Angels; Rajai Davis Hurt

After yesterday’s 5-plus hour craziness, it was perhaps a little easy to anticipate that something like this would happen. There’s not too much to say about the game today: the Jays bats were completely listless, and were thoroughly dominated by Angels’ ace Jered Weaver in a 3-1 loss. Whether they were tired from yesterday, or was frustrated by the blown call by...

Spring Recap: Rajai Davis does his best Bautista impression, hits 4th HR as Blue Jays beat Phillies

Say what you will about his speed on the basepaths, but Rajai Davis is opening eyes at this year’s Blue Jays camp with his power bat. The speedy centre-fielder hasn’t stolen a single base this spring yet – but with his 4th spring home run today off Ryan Madson, and a OPS of 1.058, he really hasn’t hit like a lead-off hitter. Why steal second base when you...

Trade Analysis: Rajai Davis for Trystan Magnuson, Danny Farquhar

With the A’s having stolen David DeJesus from Kansas City earlier in the week, they had little room for Rajai Davis in their outfield, so Oakland traded the speedy center fielder to Toronto for right-handed minor league relievers Trystan Magnuson and Danny Farquhar. Like Kansas City’s return for DeJesus, Oakland’s return for Davis consists of two rather underwhelming pitchers...

Rajai Davis Stolen Away

Well, my question about the A’s crowded outfield was answered today when the Oakland A’s traded away the 50 stolen bases man, Rajai Davis, to the Toronto Blue Jays for for minor league right-handers Trystan Magnuson and Daniel Farquhar. Or as I like to call them… T who and Daniel what? Davis was one of my favorite players last year – a guy with legit speed who also hit for...
