Ramiro Pena Dances With The Stars (Well Sort Of) (VIDEOS)
There are important things going on in MLB these days. The trade deadline is almost here, pennant races are heating up, and Ramiro Pena is dancing. Well, actually, as Yankee fans know, he's recovering from an emergency appendectomy. But I was surfing around on YouTube this morning and found him dancing up a storm, twice in fact. In the first video he is dancing with a mascot...

Playoff Roster Discussion: Ramiro Pena or Eduardo Nunez?
When looking at the Yankees playoff roster, there are about 21 spots that are locked down already and just a few that are up for grabs. One spot that could make for a good debate is the utility infielder spot and it comes down to Ramiro Pena or Eduardo Nunez.
Pena probably has the upper hand in this battle. He’s been with the team since early last season while Nunez has...

Yankees Have Solid Infield Depth in the Minors
On Sunday, Ramiro Pena filled in admirably for the Captain, Derek Jeter, and has been a solid back-up since he made the team to start last season. A slick fielder, who has never scared anyone with his bat in the minors (.255 career hitter), he often delivers key hits like yesterday's single to right-center that drove in two runs and put the Yankees ahead to stay. The 24 year...

2010 Player Previews: Ramiro Pena
2009: Ramiro Pena found himself at the hot corner in the Bronx with an injury to A-Rod in the beginning of the 2009 season. Pena was more well known for being a solid defensive player and sported a career .254 average in his minor league career. A return by A-Rod took a starting job away from Pena, but Pena had made a good enough impression...

Ransom deserve a roster spot over Pena? I Don't Think So
Yesterday, Peter Abraham discussed what would happen with the Yankees roster when Jose Molina makes his return, a return that is not too far away. He could be back as soon as a few days from now.Basically Pete says that the Yanks will keep Ransom and have to decided whether to send down Francisco Cervelli or Ramiro Pena if they decide to keep three catchers, or even send both down...

What Will Jeter Batting Leadoff Lead To?
Derek Jeter's bruised pinkie isn't keeping him out of the lineup for today's Spring Training game. He's in that game and will be in a lot more before all is said and done in his career. Whether he'll be batting leadoff in all of those games will remain to be seen.Jeter's lifetime OBP is .387, whereas Johnny Damon's is .354. Not much of a difference there...
