The Pros and Cons of trading Randy Wolf
Two weeks into the offseason, a pattern is already starting to emerge for the Brewers: the club has been linked to many of the top available free agents, but is handicapped on all fronts (from their oh-so-cautious pursuit of Jose Reyes to their willingness to make Yuniesky Betancourt their everyday shortstop) by a supposed lack of payroll. Most estimates put the amount of money the...

Brewers Back in Business, After Randy Wolf Throws Gem
We thought the Brewers were an ouster, badly menaced by the Cardinals' feel-good story. It turns out Milwaukee survived and now has a chance to beat the Cardinals in St. Louis Friday night in Game 5, hermetically sealed from danger, traveling home soon to the friendly confines of Miller Park for Game 6 and will be heavily cheered by the noisy Brewers fans.We once chided and nearly...

Randy Wolf Pitches Brewers Past Cardinals in Game 4 to Tie Up NLDS
Randy Wolf did a hell of a job Thursday evening keeping his Milwaukee Brewers in the game, helping to tie up the series and force the National League pennant to eventually be decided at Miller Park.
The 35-year-old lefty went seven solid innings in Game 4, surrendering just two runs on seven hits with a walk and six strikeouts in his team's 4-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals...

Game Picks - Friday: October 14, 2011
Randy Wolf sure made this picker look stupid, didn't he? What an amazing effort and surprise. Of course, for the Brewers, Wolf's big game couldn't have come at a better time as the Brewers would have been in a heap of trouble if they had let the series get to 3-1. Instead the thing is knotted up at 2-2 and no matter what happens, the series will end in Milwaukee and that's good...

Randy Wolf turns it around in the NLCS
Maybe it's a bit of an overdramatization to say Randy Wolf pitched the "game of his life" on Thursday, like so many have already said. Maybe it isn't. All that really matters, though, is that the Brewers won Game 4, 4-2, on 7 strong innings from Wolf. The only blemishes on his line were two solo home runs that weren't really his fault -- he made a pair of good pitches, but Matt...

Brewers are confident in starting Wolf
PHOENIX -- Heading into Game 4 of a NL Division Series, plenty of teams would turn to a starting pitcher on short rest to either put a series away or keep a series alive.
The Milwaukee Brewers though feel as confident as ever with Randy Wolf taking the mound against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday with a 2-1 series lead and a shot at the franchise's first playoff series win...

SHADOW DANCING
Cardinals unhappy with the sky
With their season all but over, some players for the St. Louis Cardinals have found something novel to complain about: the shadows cast inside Busch Stadium during afternoon games.

Nyjer Morgan Cuts the Wind with His Plush-I-Mental Skills
Nyjer Morgan (aka Tony Plush, Tony Tombstone, and Tony Gumbo) gives us another crazy interview in this victorious post game conversation.
A night after hitting his career high 4th home run of the season, Nyjer explains to us how he cuts the wind on his homers with his plush-i-mental skills and got his swell on in the gym before the game for some extra power. He goes on...

Randy Wolf deserved it!
After Randy Wolf pitched 8 shutout innings, leading to a fourth straight win, making it a league’s best 45-15 at home, it’s safe to say the Milwaukee Brewers are on a roll. Hot with a capital H. En fuego. But most importantly, HAVING FUN. Check out the postgame interview with FS-Wisconsin’s Telly Hughes, who once [...]

Stat of the Day: Wolf’s Cheap Win
Watching Wednesday’s Cardinals-Brewers game, I couldn’t help thinking that Randy Wolf looked absolutely awful. Without checking, he must have gone 2-0 to at least five different batters. When he wasn’t falling behind, he was getting drilled.
But Wolf hung around for 6 innings, surrendering 5 runs and earning the win as the Brewers scored 10 behind their starter...
