The Pittsburgh Pirates have released right handed pitcher Ross Ohlendorf, who was expected to be a non-tender candidate next week. Before last night's game, I wrote this: I'm already pretty convinced that his time remaining in the rotation is limited and a good start against the Astros won't change my mind, but I do suppose it'll be a start. Pirates recall Ohlendorf, DFA Biemel
The Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday recalled righthander Ross Ohlendorf from Triple-A Indianapolis for a start against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Pirates starter Ross Ohlendorf's right shoulder injury has forced two moves. What the next move will be remains to be seen. The first, after Ohlendorf had to leave the game Friday night early with pain, was to put the right-handed pitcher on the 15-day disabled list.
