Toby Harrah, Ruben Sierra join Rangers Hall of Fame
The Rangers announced today that infielder Toby Harrah and outfielder Ruben Sierra will be inducted in the club's Hall of Fame. More details to come.

Sierra Jr. among six draftees to sign
Texas has signed the following six selections from the 2009 June draft, the club's first batch of signings: OF Ruben Sierra Jr. (6th round), C Vincent DiFazio (12), RHP Sam Brown (22), SS Danny Lima (23), SS Shon Landry (31), and 3B Taylor Vail (40).

Rangers draft "Rubenito" in the 6th round
That's Ruben Sierra Jr., an outfielder from Puerto Rico, and yes, that Ruben Sierra.. The younger version shares a lot of common tools with his father, a great arm (clocked in excess of 90 mph on the mound), a quick bat, and good speed. Sierra is raw, as most players from P.R. are these days, and is thought to be badly in need of quality instruction.

THE GIANTS IN SECOND PLACE?!
Sanchez' 0.69 ERA is pretty impressive but what has me more impressed is the Giants are manufacturing some runs. Even Jose Castillo has at times done a pretty decent job of hitting the ball. Fred Lewis, Velez and now Burriss make this team exciting to watch. I know the pressure is on for the offense since the starting pitching and even relievers are winning the games. Aurilia...
