Rangers sign 2 pitchers to minor deals
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Left-hander Mitch Stetter and right-hander Sean Green agreed Monday to minor league contracts with the Texas Rangers that include invitations to major league spring training.
Stetter and Green were on Milwaukee's opening-day roster last season, but didn't pitch for the NL Central champion Brewers after mid-May.
Stetter spent most of last season...

Brewers Sign Sean Green
Posted in MetsBlog
Green was not very good in 2010. Of course, he changed his delivery, injured himself and then struggled in his return, so who knows what he’s truly capable of being next season. He probably would have been awarded the same money in 2011 that he earned in 2010, just under $1 million.
According to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, had Green been tendered a contract...

Sean Moves On To Green(er) Pastures: Former Met Reliever Signs With Brewers
It is being reported that (former) Met reliever Sean Green has signed on with the Milwaukee Brewers. Green, whom the Mets acquired in the blockbuster trade that sent Endy Chavez, Mike Carp and Aaron Heilman to Seattle for JJ Putz, Green and Jeremy Reed. Unfortunately for the Mets, Green never really panned out well. In his first year with the team (2009) he went 1-4 with a 4.52 ERA in 79 games.

Green optimistic about being tendered...
Sean GreenOriginally uploaded by Michael G. BaronI don't have the animosity towards Sean Green that many Mets fans have, he seems to have spent two years trying to figure himself out and I wonder where this guy went. As that post indicates, when we got Green he was considered a workhorse who could eventually set-up and teams were calling the Mets for him. He's changed his...

Mets could keep Green
Sean GreenOriginally uploaded by Michael G. BaronA year ago no one would have guessed that Sean Green would be on a Mets roster let alone have a shot at the 2011 team. The Mets have to decide by Thursday whether to tender Green for next year. Green has several things working in his favor; a new regime, he's cost effective as well as being controlable and the Mets really need...

Sean Green close to returning
According to Adam Rubin at http://proxy.espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/8221/green-day-looming relief pitcher Sean Green will be returning to the Mets very soon. Green has been on the disabled list since April 7th. Originally it was believed to have been a strained rib-cage muscle that landed him on the disabled, but it was actually a cracked rib. Green made one appearance...

Mets Are Going Green – Once More
Reliever Sean Green appears close to a return to the Mets.
Green, who is the last remaining player acquired from the Seattle Mariners in the J.J. Putz trade back in December of 2008, has made only one appearance for the Mets this season.
He landed on the DL after a relief appearance in April against the Florida Marlins with what originally was diagnosed as a strained rib-cage muscle...

Green was the groundball specialist...
It turns out that the pain in Sean Green's side was a broken rib. There are many who will say who cares, he stunk, but Green was the teams only opportunity for a ground ball specialist.Sometimes what you need is a ground ball to hold the runner at third or turn a double, sometimes a fly ball out is as bad as a hit. We have some very good swing and miss strike out relievers but...

On the Bubble: Sean Green
I'm not one of those "break-up the core" fans, I believe with the caliber of our five top players ( Wright, Reyes, Beltran, Santana, Rodriguez) when healthy depending upon the players you surround them with, you are an automatic contender. In fact, my contention is that Omar's biggest failure is his inability to provide his core with a solid surrounding cast. The...
