Report: Red Sox Sign Reliever Sean White to Minor League Deal
In an effort to continue improving their organizational pitching depth, the Red Sox have signed right-handed reliever Sean White to a minor league deal, according to Baseball America's Matt Eddy. White, 30, spent 2011 with the Rockies' Triple-A affiliate, but he has 105 major league appearances to his credit, all of which came with the Seattle Mariners. The righty is 4-4...

Rockies sign Olympic Champion Snowboarder — oh, wait, different Sean White…
Earlier this week, the Rockies signed relief pitchers Claudio Vargas and Sean White to minor league contracts. Both players are coming off terrible 2010 seasons and are long-shots to make a difference for the team next season — thus the minor league contracts.
Vargas is an eight-year veteran that has played for five franchises — six, if you count the Expos and the Nationals...

Sean White signing deal with Colorado marks end of an era for Mariners
This one sailed over my head yesterday as I was tweeting that Sean White had signed with the Colorado Rockies. It's the typical minor league deal with a spring training invite that befits a player who spent parts of three seasons with the Mariners but was no longer on the 40-man roster.
Anyhow, it wasn't until 3:30 a.m. this morning -- Amy had a business trip flight to catch...

The Colorado Rockies sign Sean White

He has now pitched in 105 games (0 starts) in his first three years in the majors and he is 4-4 with 1 save, a 4.16 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP. White will get a shot this spring to make...

Rockies sign reliever White for bullpen depth
Looking to add bullpen depth with a low-risk, high-reward flier, the Rockies signed right-hander Sean White to a minor-league deal. White, 29, is a classic rebound candidate. He struggled last season with the Mariners, but posted a 2.80 ERA in 52 games in 2009. White, who throws hard and relies heavily on a sinker, will receive an invitation to big-league camp.
The Rockies have...

Smoak to AAA, Bradley to DL, White and Tui Called Up
Via multiple sources, as this was reported hours ago, the Mariners have made several roster moves this morning, despite not making any trades.
Out
Milton Bradley to the 15-day DL, retroactive to the 27th. Shocking.
Justin Smoak to Tacoma. While I have previously advocated giving him lots of playing time at the ML level, he has been struggling mightily with the bat since coming to...

Problems That Still Need to be Fixed
There’s no doubt that things have been done to improve this team over the last week or so. Milton Bradley is back, Sean White is gone, Shawn Kelley is being used slightly more properly, and Griffey isn’t starting. These are all positives, and together, they can go a long way towards getting this team back on track, as you’ve witnessed over this last little hot streak...

Game Thirty-Nine Recap
Boo, 14-25.
A lot of stuff happened. A lot of it mattered. But there’s only one thing you need to know. With a one run lead in the 7th inning, two runners on base, and nobody out, Wak went to the mound and summoned Sean White. That’s not the only reason they lost, but it’s reason enough to earn it.
11 games under .500, 7 1/2 games out of first place…...
