The Seattle Mariners added a pair of arms to their bullpen Monday, signing right-hander Shawn Camp and lefty Hong-Chi Kuo to one-year deals.

Mariners gain some experience, back-end bullpen help with two signings
The Mariners not only added Taiwanese left-hander Kong-Chih Kuo to their midst, as expected, earlier today, but then tacked on veteran right hander Shawn Camp. Both have been given one-year major league deals by the Mariners, meaning they will very likely be on the squad that leaves spring training.
For a team that had no real southpaws in the bullpen when the winter began -- other...

It still feels a little weird that I just finished that sentence, but I digress…

Late innings suit Camp just fine
Shawn Camp is often overlooked when discussing the veterans in the Blue Jays' bullpen. So much focus is put on the experienced arms that are eligible for free agency this winter for Toronto, leaving Camp quietly in the background.

Blue Jays Mid-Season Report Card: Closer/Relief Pitchers & Overall Team
The Toronto Blue Jays have been a pleasant surprise to this point in the season.
It is safe to say that very few baseball people projected Toronto to be sitting just one game under .500 (44-45) at the mid-way point of the campaign; especially without their former Ace, Roy Halladay, pulling their collective butt’s out of the fire every five days.
Finishing our bluejaysrant...
