PHOENIX -- As initially reported Monday, the Arizona Diamondbacks formally announced a contract agreement with 41-year-old relief pitcher Takashi Saito. The one-year deal will pay him 1.75 million.

The deal is worth $1.75 million for the 41-year-old righthander.

According to Nikkan Sports (via NPBTracker), the Milwaukee Brewers are closing in on a one-year, $3 million deal with reliever Takashi Saito.
