Philadelphia Phillies sign OF Timo Perez to a Minor League deal
According to Matt Gelb of The Philadelphia Inquirer, the Phillies have signed outfielder Timo Perez to a Minor League contract and have assigned him to Double-A Reading.
Perez, 35, last played in the big leagues with the Detroit Tigers when he hit .389/.427/.533 in 29 games (90 at-bats). In his 8 years in the Major Leagues, Perez has played with the Mets, White Sox, Cardinals and Tigers.

It?s worked in the past sorta. Last season I wrote about Timo Perez for the Tigers and while he did destroy Triple-A again last season he didn?t recieve any playing time in Detroit.
