The Stanford wrestling team celebrated a season of successes last weekend with its annual awards banquet. The Cardinal recognized numerous wrestlers with team awards and bid farewell to seniors Jake Johnson and Tyler Parker.

Wrestling. Five Cardinal Wrestlers Garner Pac-10 All-Academic Honors
Five Stanford wrestlers were honored by the Pac-10 when the conference announced its 2010 academic awards today. Redshirt sophomore Nick Amuchastegui, senior Jake Johnson and redshirt senior Tyler Parker earned spots on the Pac-10 All-Academic First Team for the second straight season. Redshirt freshmen Kyler Hasson and Mike Kent were both named to the second team.

Wrestling. Stanford Wrestling Takes Care Of Bakersfield On Senior Night
The Cardinal wrestling team won its second straight Pac-10 dual, defeating Cal State Bakersfield 23-14 on Senior Night at Burnham Pavilion. Winning seven of the 10 bouts, Stanford improves to 10-7-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the Pac-10. Both Stanford seniors, Jake Johnson and Tyler Parker, won their respective bouts in their final matches of their career at home.

Wrestling. Wrestling Hosts Cal State Bakersfield For Senior Day; Travels To Arizona State
The Cardinal (9-7-1) hosts its final home dual of the season on Friday, Feb. 12 versus Cal State Bakersfield at 6 p.m. The team will honor its two seniors, Jake Johnson and Tyler Parker, before the match. Stanford will then travel to Tempe, Ariz., to close out Pac-10 action at Arizona State, Sunday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. MT.
